Magic Valley Practical Shooters
What should you bring?

*** Eye and ear protection -
This is a must not only
for competitors but
spectators as well. ***

First of all bring a good
attitude and an open mind.

A handgun -  .45 caliber or
smaller (.22's are allowed.)

A holster - one in good shape
designed to be worn around
the waist. No thigh rigs or
shoulder holsters. Kydex or
plastic type are
recommended.

Magazines - For most stages
2-3 mags is enough.

Magazine holders - while it is
allowed to simply use your
pockets, life is a lot easier if
you have holders for your
mags.

A good belt - your pants will
become heavy wearing a gun
and magazines.

Good footwear - you will be
moving from one place to
another on a dirt/gravel
surface. Its really hard to
shoot from your back.

You will meet great people of all ages

The shooters at MVPSA are kind and helpful. Just let the registration table know it is your first time and we will take care of the rest to ensure you have a fun and safe time. Kids are also welcome to shoot with us as long as they can safely handle a firearm.
Here at the Magic Valley Practical Shooting Association we are part of the United States Practical Shooting Association. This organization has the best safety record in all of the shooting sports. This has been accomplished by strict adherence to the safety rules and procedures that are used on all USPSA ranges.
